During my last visit to the Rothko exhibition at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, I was deeply moved by the intensity and emotional depth of his works. Rich colour fields and subtle transitions invite reflection and connection with our inner feelings. This experience inspired me to create a candle that radiates the same atmosphere of calm and depth. Deep, rich colours gently transition into lighter, ethereal colours as the candle burns. This effect symbolises the transition from hectic everyday life to a state of inner peace. I hope that this candle is not only an aesthetic pleasure, but also a means of integrating the contemplative spirit of Rothko's art into everyday life. Each time the candle is lit, it should provide a moment of silence and reflection – an opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle and connect with your inner self.
