Organic cotton is GOTS certified

• The organic cotton of the hand-woven cloth is GOTS-certified (Global Organic Textile Standard). The GOTS seal of approval is based on ecological and social aspects. The criteria go beyond the legal requirements and take into account the production process from raw material extraction through processing to working conditions and storage.

• Vegetable colored

  The yarns for the colored stripes (Dhari) are dyed with natural color extracts.

• Clitoria blue

  A color extract from the flowers of the climbing plant blue clitoris is used as a coloring agent. These are collected by women in Tamil Nadu (South India) along rice fields.
