This 6/8 wide blade with a slightly smiling, coarse ground out, blade of silver steel is suitable with its Spanish Crown perfect for a precise shave.

The contours of the straight razor, like the trim back running in mirror polish. The tang is in turn held in a polished forged skin appearance, which gives an idea of the igneous origin of the blade yet. At the same time, this surface is easy to clean and durable.
As a charming contrast to the polished surfaces, the blade is finely transversely satin.
The staple shells are made of ironwood, which is found only in a small border between the US and Mexico. It is made in small quantities under state control in circulation. Therefore, and because of its unique hardness, as well as the distinctive glowing grain the wood is very popular and is among the most expensive precious woods.
To complete the razor precision turned by using Bullseye rivets, and a spacer made of stainless steel, which are 2 mm sterling silver riveted by hand and then polished. This straight razor is exclusively hand-made for us by Koraat-Knives. The roughly forged blade comes from Solingen. The finish of the blade and haft is made according to our specifications. The razor is delivered shave-ready.
Why a tough and smiling blade?
Mainly coarse blade before 1900 were prepared blades were free ground by hand and are among the most sought-after collector’s items. Through hands-free sanding it was, in contrast to the commonly used today strongly hollow ground blades, the blade can be run in a smooth arc. This “smile” allows a very deep and thorough cut the beard and facilitates shaving in difficult places, which one with a straight blade often poorly achieved.
