Blazing Mister Sam – The Story

An American abroad – in London, to be exact -, generous at gambling, a swift lifestyle and loud at a conversation. Yet his company is ingratiating: calming, warm, sensual and deep. Every conversation with him a joy. His expectations are high, his American scones (“comparable with muffins?”) to die for. When passing by in his chic, new Ford, he puts on a light smile: “Hey, what’s up?” However, Countess Dorothea is skeptical: His broad grin (“intrusive”), the big chin (“offensive”), those beautiful eyes (“dangerous”) and these lavish presents (“vulgar”) – well, they don’t deceive.
